On 16th May, 2014, an ordinary tea selker 30 years ago, rose to become, The Prime Minister of India, simply with the positive use of Social Media!!!
I'm a Banker by professionprofession for 30 yearsyears(4-2-1985),  & a Mentor by passion, for 32 Years!!!(Since April 1983 when I mentored Sreedevi to clear CAT) Ever Since Sreedevi, I work passionately on Youth space. Both I & Shri Modi know well the demographics of India, 65% of Indians are under 35, and they are freely approachable on the web. They are ambitious, hungry for jobs, and this positive energy utilised well can go a long way, in nation building, and left to fend for themselves, uncontrolled, unguided & confused, can easily turn to Crime.
Either you can turn them into Malala Yousufzai or into ISIS Chief.
It is for us, mature leaders, to show them the right path.

  And what better way than either find your protégés on the web, friend them, guide them, then meet them offline, or meet them offline, then Friend them on Facebook.
Last week at IIT Kharagpur Springfest, I made 200 is such lifelong friends, protégés, Sons & Daughters, 40 of them either are my Facebook buddies or Twitter Followers. 😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😅😅😅😅☺☺😝😝

1 I know what I'm doing.
2 I'm an extrovert.
3 Being on the internet helps me, to reach out to my thousands of protégés worldwide. Some of my protégés are those, whom I have NEVER EVER met EVEN ONCE!!!
4 I have saved more than 100 lives in this one year of those, who I was sure were looking at #Suicide as an escape route
My constant egging, motivating, explanations, coaxing cajoling, I have been able to convince every such person who I noticed, or who approached me for help. I hold a 100% success rate. I'm not a psychiatrist but a #Mentor & #Motivator
5 I search, identify & approach & practically stalk my protégés.
6 Every evening, when I log into #Facebook the 1st post on my #Timeline is ALWAYS someone troubled expressing angst.
Facebook #algorithm helps them & me. I swiftly message, sometimes call & pacify the a person & ALWAYS succeed.
Sometimes, the person asks me something and I out of blue, tell them, "Look, what you're trying to achieve, is out of your reach, it is a futile effort. Concentrate on YOUR LIFE, and you would get something better than what you're now pursuing" They're shocked , how did I find out without their even telling me a word? I'm a peoples person, without interaction, offline or online, I'm edgy.
7 With utter confidence can I boast, there would be people on #Facebook, #Twitter #YouTube & #Instagram with thousands or millions fans, followers, likes, RTs, shares, but The number of persons that I have MET IN PERSON, TALKED TO, CONVERSED WITH, KNOWN (ALL THESE ATTRIBUTES ARE IN ONE PERSON OK!!!) With whom I continue my relationships for 20-30 years, would be in existence in not more than 10000/7billion population on Planet Earth.
I mean what I'm saying
With me #WYSIWYG of WordStar works 100% all the time.

#Talent & #Brilliance what is the difference?

This morning a long time Social Media Friend @SoulInWords on Twitter & Jyothi Menon on Facebook posted this Brilliant Status.

The status struck me.
Though I was _on the same page with her on what she said
" The poor label is only in material terms. They are rich in other essentials"
My disagreement with her categorising "Intelligence" "Talent" Brilliance" in one category.
IMHO my POV is
Those who use their Talent & Brilliance intelligently, succeed among the masses, and make an awful lot of money.
Where as pure brilliance & talent is highly misunderstood , unpopular among the society at large, as they consider these brilliant & Talented people as dysfunctional. It is a fact that all highly creative , talented & brilliant people are misfits in the traditional society, and their ideas are way ahead of times, and the general masses are unable to comprehend, understand or grasp their content. Hence if brilliant & talented people are counselled by Mentors and Guides, these protégés to be smart & use their talent intelligently, they would make loads of money too.
Its easier said than done, as these brilliant people are generally an bundle of contradictions, and often live in their own world. To get them out of their shell & to make them vomit their inner feelings is an art known to only those who are persistent, perseverant & patient.
These brilliant people, though misunderstood in life, are highly popular in death.
Examples: Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose, Kurt Cobain, Amy Winehouse,  Jim Morrison, Brian Jones, Jimi Hendrix, Joan Baez, Guru Dutt, K L Saigal, Silk Smitha, Elvis & Mj AKA Micheal Jackson. They live from here to eternity in peoples mind forever.


Here is my ex tempore POV on Jyothi's Status.
These are my views. You may disagree. Please do not confuse intelligence ( which is a negative connotation of talent like Smart) with #IQ or intelligence quotient. IQ is inborn like talent & brilliance.
Additionally every human being born on earth has some talent.
It needs to be discovered, nurtured & promoted.


Further the examples given here are all those who I like immensely. The examples given are in no way to denigrate anyone. They are shown to indicate & explain the difference about semantics. I'm sure many of you might disagree with my treatment of the word " intelligence" I respect their POV but this is mine  So respect it please.

Intelligence cannot be categorized with Talent, Brilliance. Mick Jagger & Paul McCartney are intelligent. M F Hussain was intelligent. Brian Jones, John Lennon , Ganesh Pyne were brilliant & Talented.
Salman Rushdie is intelligent, V S Naipaul is Brilliant.
Chetan Bhagat is intelligent , Sidin Vadukut is brilliant & talented!
Rihanna is intelligent, Amy Winehouse talented & brilliant. Michealangelo was intelligent, Leonardo Da Vinci brilliant & talented.
Brilliant & Talented are perrenial. Intelligent make money too. That's the difference. Intlugent people are Pragmatic & Smart, to change & adjust themselves to suit the market demands & make awful lot of money, whereas the brilliant like Kurt Cobain are always revered by the practitioners of that field. :) You may disagree, but that's my POV. I advise my talented protégés to be brilliant, but to be pragmatic & intelligent too. My tips to them always hover around "How to get people notice you" Here intelligence & smartness as well as pragmatism enters. Or else, you end up the same fate as Cobain Winehouse & Jones. #Number27 were all brilliant but not intelligent. What say you??

VenuG Presents: The way I Mentor & I succeed, ALWAYS!. Tips to Mentoring.

This is a free flowing ex-temporal post, withing seconds of my telecon with a Girl Called Urvashi, who happens to be the daughter of one of my esteemed colleagues.
On a blog which she asked me to search by her email, I am not telling you which blog, I am not telling any names, you have to take my word, that, even if THIS Urvashi, is NOT THAT Urvashi, I have changed the course of her life. I take pride is boasting, that, I can turn the most pessimistic/depressed/suicidal kid, to believe in themselves, and get that confidence, that the skill sets they have, are above average, and they MUST, themselves, have confidence in themselves, and if and when they do, YES THEY CAN!

             Have for 28 years continued to replicate this confidence building, in scores of young kids(the 1st being a B.Sc undergrad who completed her M.B.A. from Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management, Mumbai ( at that time I myself had just cleared my M.Com and taken up my 1st job, and yes cleared the IAS twice already. in spite of being a Third division Graduate(my percentage in my B.Com was 44.9% but I had the University top marks in Commercial Law & English) .I am proud to post my marks on my facebook bio

Following your blog as it is wonderful writing and, is very good in narrative. The way you tell a story is appreciable, especially I liked the

earlier post Jalebi.

And my comment on this poem, ya, everyone does, but you just have to look at THAT girl in a higher Age bracket.

Reading your poem, I copy pasted the following stanzas:

" My Life ain't short of girls if that is what you think
But none matches my wavelength, to whom i can link

In the above stanza's try to replace the word "girl" your
Mom/Amma/Ma/Mummy/Biji/Aai/Mater/Metre/Madre or whatever name you call her by!!!

After all there is a "GIRL" in your Mom, just that you don't look her in "THAT" way, the problem is not with her :)NOT WITH YOU EVEN!!!
The problem is with YOUR EYE, it is wearing a yellow Chashma. So everything, what you see, seems to look with a shade of yellow. Just take of

THAT spectacle of your Consciousness, and look at your mother, as that mother
1 Whom you told when you first had THAT(Am not specifying what THAT is every women past 14 knows what THAT is!)

  Since she had fed you for 279 days through umbilical chord, and nearly 1-3 years , depending on how much you needed the breast feed, who

walked you to the school, on your 1st day at school.

Wasn't she there? Isn't she still there?

Dear Urvashi,
After you read this, even if it is 2 at night, your mother is sleeping, go and give her a [hug]
softly not waking her, and repeat it, every time, you are with her all your life.

I promise you, your hug, will be reciprocated, by a warm squeeze, of her soft arms, around your body.

If this happens, then, she is that friend, if it doesn't, I forewarn you, it is that you hugged her without compassion or warmth.
