Making a million legally has always been difficult.
Making a million illegally a little easier.

Keeping a million when you have made it perhaps is the most difficult .

Suggests human psychology .

I am strongly of the view that besides doing CA and learning everything in commerce and business , there is a dire need for us to study the human thinking which can vary from General to particular .
It is through this analysis that you cater to your clients , surge forward in the quest for new clients which therefore leads to growth , expansion and diversification along with increased profitability , efficiency and consumer - clientele satisfaction.

Some might argue that this analysis comes with experience , my argument says that our generation is too ambitious to wait for years to pass by and gain experience.
Instead it's better to do your study on consumer requirement and thinking , and gain experience along the way .

Am I on the right track ?

Absolutely Son.
I advise, you buy a copy of Bhagvata Gita.
Keep it at your bedside.
Read a page a day.
Its pretty cheap.
You find it at Gita Press stalls , both at CST & Mumbai Central or
Read & ReRead the section, where Lord Krishna sermons Arjuna,
When Arjuna gets confused, that, he was killing his own brothers.
Get a poster, or get these Sloka painted and frame it, post it exactly in front of your office seat,
कर्मण्ये वाधिकारस्ते
मा फलेशु कदा च  न्
Verse 47.2
The Bhagvata Gita

meaning of Sloka
Karmanye Vadhikaraste
Ma faleshu kadachana

Verse 47
The Bhagvata Gita
As you said,
Keeping those millions is difficult,
Sometimes, to safeguard those millions,
You have to step back a little,
Let business go,
Because trust me,
Only he keeps millions,
Who takes the right path.
Further,
Gandhi ji once said,

"A Customer is the most important visitor on our premises. He is not dependent on us. We are dependent on him. He is not an interruption in our work.He is the purpose of it. He is not an outsider in our business. He is a part of it.
We are not doing him a favor by serving him. He is doing us a favor by giving us an opportunity to do so."
Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi.
Son,
A) Knowledge
B) Use of knowledge.
C) Sometimes you know , that though ethically, you're acting wrong, but, legally, you're using a law loophole(Here is where Krishna Sermon comes into picture. What's your Karma? To serve your client, not the governments. To serve the client, you have to save him maximum tax . If form that, you use the legal loophole, knowing fully well, on equity, your act is wrong, you're following your Dharma, & performing your Karma) Do not feel guilty at all.
4) Going for new clients... I have an advise here, look, unless your existing clients are fully satisfied, your acquiring new clients is injustice towards your existing clients. Your new customers, must come through your existing clients ONLY... If you approach new clients, I'm sure pretty sure this maxim will come into force "When custom comes through the door, service goes out of the window.
Gita and relevance to Customer service.
Exercise caution on your utterances.
One sentence from Draupadi
"Andhey ka beta Andha "
Created Mahabharata War & destruction & deaths.
Give whatever you have to your customer.
1 grain of boiled rice, offer red by Draupadi, to Durvasa muni, brought a burp.
Be faithful to friends.
Karna & Duryodhana.
Protect women in distress.
Krishna protecting Draupadi during cheerharan.
Slow reading of The Mahabharat will give you loads of lessons on Life & Customer Service.
Remember, there are no festivals in India, related to The Mahabharata, but many related to The Ramayana.
Because Mahabharata is life.
We celebrate life, by living it.
SON,
SO
CELEBRATE LIFE.
